Editorial Guidelines

How we create, review, and maintain everything you see and play on Word Online Games.

Our content principles

Puzzle quality review

Different games have different review requirements:

Writer qualifications

For every locale we commission writers who meet ALL of:

We commission via Fiverr Pro, Upwork Top Rated, or ProZ. Per Section 41.8 of our public plan, every locale launches only after both the writer and a separate native QA reviewer sign off.

Author attribution

Long-form content (blog posts, learn-pages) carries author attribution at the byline with a link to the author's bio page. Game rules + FAQ are collectively maintained by the per-locale content team.

Corrections + updates

If you spot a factual error, an outdated reference, or a culturally insensitive phrasing — please email [email protected] with subject "Editorial". We respond within 48 hours and publish corrections promptly. Significant corrections are noted at the bottom of the affected page with a date stamp.

Editorial independence

Word Online Games is independently owned. No advertisers, sponsors, or third parties influence our editorial decisions. We have no plans for sponsored content. If we ever publish sponsored or affiliate content (Month 6+, only on the blog), it will be clearly labeled as such.
