How to play
- Read the level's category — e.g., "Animals starting with B".
- Tap Start to begin the timer (90s easy → 30s bonus).
- Type words and press Enter. Each valid word = 1 point.
- No repeats. Words must be on our reference list (no obscure trivia answers).
- Win threshold rises with difficulty: 30% of total possible (easy), up to 50% (bonus).
Strategy tips
- Brain-dump first. Type whatever comes to mind in the first 20 seconds — common items.
- Then be systematic. Walk the alphabet (A_, B_, C_…) for the remaining 40 seconds.
- Don't agonize over spelling. A wrong-spelled animal won't be on the list. Move on.
A short history of Scattergories
Scattergories was created by Hasbro in 1988 — players write words matching categories, with a twist: every word must start with the rolled letter. The twist that made it a hit was scoring: only words that NO OTHER PLAYER also wrote count. Solo daily versions like ours drop the multiplayer twist and use a fixed reference list.
