How it works
- WPM = (correct characters ÷ 5) ÷ elapsed minutes — the global standard.
- Raw WPM includes errors — useful for spotting frantic typing.
- Accuracy is the percentage of first-attempt-correct characters.
Tips for higher WPM
- Don't look at the keyboard. Touch-typing is faster than hunt-and-peck even at lower per-key speed.
- Aim for accuracy first — corrections cost more time than slowing down.
- Practice in short bursts daily, not long sessions weekly.
- Phase 2 brings locale-aware layouts (AZERTY, QWERTZ, Hindi InScript, Turkish Q/F).
